Sales Engineer

Plascore has an opening for a Sales Engineer in our Aramid and Metals business units who can meet and help determine customer needs. The Sales Engineer will need to possess an in-depth knowledge of process writing and implementing continuous improvement ideas. This individual will need to have a passion for collaboration, sales, and determining customer/project requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service and customer satisfaction with respect to request for quotation, order entry, expediting, shipping and documentation.
  • Answer customer inquiries in a prompt, professional manner.
  • Project take-offs including determining customer/project requirements.
  • Read and understand blueprints, interpret specifications.
  • Create detailed bill of materials, spreadsheets and supporting documents based on take-offs.
  • Determine the appropriate Plascore product suitable for the customer's application.
  • Perform contract review on standard and non-standard products.
  • Analyze customer requirements and devise solutions.
  • Follow up on RFQ's.
  • Manage customer contact information within CMS.
  • Track and maintain movements of sample room.
  • Coordinate with trade shows.
  • Analyze product trends.
  • Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods.
  • Handle internal and external questions in a prompt, professional manner.
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Two to four years of progressively more responsible experience
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or engineering discipline
  • Must be able to work well independently and be self-directed
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good math and analytical skills
  • Experience supporting ISO9000, AS9100 and ISO 14001 initiatives
