Job Purpose:  This Senior Care Consultant role is responsible for connecting clients to find them safer care options.  They will do this by gaining each client’s business by successfully demonstrating our values.  They will have a strong presence in the community and actively promote the brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the expert in our territory for providing senior care options.  

  • Meet with clients in person at their home, or in a neutral location.

  • Complete a Care Discovery with each client. This is usually based on a lengthy conversation with the senior and their family and can include financial, medical, social, psychological, and environmental factors.

  • Review senior’s activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, transferring from bed to chair, problems with memory, speech, etc.  This can be very comprehensive based on care needs.

  • Partner with medical professionals who are overseeing the medical needs of the client (i.e., physicians, discharge planners, case managers, social workers).

  • Provide appropriate care options for the client based on Care Discovery findings.  This includes action steps and community resources needed to carry out the assistance required by the client.  

  • Provide customized tours for the client.

  • Utilize appropriate government agencies when necessary: State Licensing, Ombudsman, Medicaid Waiver, Area Agency on Aging, Adult Protective Services, etc.

  • Tour with clients and/or families (or use a Touring specialist).

  • Monitor changes by following up with your client regularly. 

  • Develop a working report with health care professionals in your marketing territory in order to generate placements. 

  • Document progress daily in the company database. Using Calendar daily.


    • Qualifications:

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and problem solving.

    • Recognized for presentation excellence.

    • Working knowledge of senior care resources is a plus.

    • Excellence in closing and asking for business.

    • Experienced in Marketing and Sales for a greater customer service.

    • Outstanding organizational skills and a service attitude towards the community.

    • Excellent written and oral communication and computer skills.

    • Requires signed confidentiality agreement.

    • Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance.
