Resthaven, a faith-based, non-profit senior living organization dedicated to quality care and holistic well-being, seeks an experienced Vice President of Operations. This role will oversee the operations of our residential services, including 500 units of Independent Living, Assisted Living/Memory Care, and a 145-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). The VP of Operations Services will ensure the highest standards in resident care, regulatory compliance, and organizational consistency across all service lines. This leader will play a pivotal role in driving effective change management in alignment with Resthaven’s growth strategy.  

Key Responsibilities 

Operational Leadership: Provide strategic and operational oversight for all Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing services, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with Resthaven's mission and values.                                                   

Regulatory Compliance: Lead compliance efforts across all levels of care, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Oversee quality assurance measures and proactively address any areas of non-compliance in collaboration with the VP of Quality.                                    

Budget Management: Manage budgets for each service line, aligning financial resources with organizational goals and maintaining fiscal responsibility. Analyze operational costs, seek efficiencies, and implement cost-effective strategies without compromising service quality. 

Change Management: Lead and support Resthaven’s growth initiatives through effective change management, aligning teams and processes to adapt to and support organizational expansion.                                            

Team Leadership and Development: Build and foster a cohesive and engaged management team across all care levels. Mentor and develop staff, instilling a culture of compassion, accountability, and excellence.                 

Resident and Family Engagement: Foster a resident-centered environment, engaging with residents and families to ensure their needs and expectations are met. 

Quality and Consistency: Develop and implement policies and standards to ensure quality and consistency of care across all residential services in collaboration with VP of Quality                                                  

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to drive and implement strategic initiatives that align with Resthaven’s long-term mission and vision. Collaborate with VP of Project Implementation & Innovation on implementation. 

Qualifications                                               

Education: Bachelor’s degree required;                                         

Certification: Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the state of Michigan.                                          

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or a related field, 

with at least 5 years in a multi-level service setting.                            

Skills: 

o Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in senior living and skilled nursing.
o Proven experience with budget management and financial oversight in a healthcare environment. 
o Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills.
o Ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and community stakeholders.
o A track record of driving quality improvement initiatives and promoting an organizational culture of
excellence and compassion.
