The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for youth. Through engaging programs and mentorship, we help young people develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in school and life.


Job Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team as Youth Development Professionals.  In this role, you will plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities, engage with youth in a meaningful way, and ensure a safe, positive environment aligned with our mission and values.


Responsibilities

  • Create and lead daily programs and activities for children 
  • Encourage member participation in all Club activities
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with youth during programming hours
  • Maintain respectful and professional boundaries with youth, staff, and volunteers
  • Support partnerships with local schools and community organizations
  • Provide appropriate guidance and discipline to support a safe environment
  • Communicate behavior concerns with parents or guardians as needed
  • Prepare and clean program areas before and after each session
  • Follow all safety and emergency procedures
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and special events
  • Assist Club Director and other team members as needed
  • Facilitate Parent Orientations when required

Qualifications

  • Experience working with youth 
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks
  • Must be dependable, responsible, and a team player
  • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified
  • Able to pass background check and any required clearance
  • Available to work between the hours of 2:00-7:00 p.m. - Monday -Friday 

Wages & Benefits

  • Starting wage $15.10 per hour
