Downtown Holland Announces Title Sponsor and Call for Performers
for the 2024 Street Performer Series
Holland, MI – Downtown Holland is pleased to announce that Gentex Corporation has been named the title sponsor of the 2024 Street Performer Series in celebration of the company’s 50th anniversary this year. Downtown Holland is currently accepting applications from performing artists and groups who are interested in participating in the Gentex Street Performer Series, which will be held on Thursday evening this summer from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm from June 15 – August 15. Musicians, jugglers, caricature artists, balloon twisters, dancers, magicians, and more are all invited to apply to participate in this popular event.

Sponsoring the Street Performer Series is a great way to celebrate our golden anniversary together while saying ‘thank you’ to Holland and all of West Michigan.”

Performing artists and groups that are interested in participating in the Gentex Street Performer Series should complete the online application found at https://bit.ly/3WeNKzF. A link to audition materials (such as a video or audio recording) must also be submitted as part of the application process. Applications are due by Friday, May 10. Performers that are accepted into the Series will be notified by email in late May with their performance dates and locations for the summer.
Performers that are accepted into the Series must obtain a Downtown Holland Street Performer Permit from the Downtown Development Authority prior to their first performance date. The permit application is available online at www.downtownholland.com. Permits are $15 for individuals and $25 for groups. Permits are valid through the end of the calendar year and also allow performers the opportunity to perform at their leisure and busk for tips outside of Thursday nights in the approved performance locations. In addition to busking for tips, performers that participate in the Street Performer Series will receive a stipend of $20 for each performance date.
