Learn about the Wild World of Water with the Outdoor Discovery Center Network Tomorrow!

Holland, MI – The Outdoor Discovery Center (ODC) Network will host the Kids Activities at the Holland Farmers Market tomorrow, Wednesday, July 2, to teach families all about the Wild World of Water! The Market Kids Activities are held every Wednesday from 9:30 am – 11:30 am through August 13. The Activities are free to attend and begin with Market Story Time hosted by the Herrick District Library, followed by a fun, educational, and hands-on activity led by a local community partner. The 2025 Market Kids Activities are proudly sponsored by Corewell Health.

Tomorrow morning, children will learn all about the importance of water to our local ecosystem with help from the ODC. The ODC will help children understand why it’s so important they do their part to keep the water in our very own Macatawa Watershed clean with a variety of fun activities that include live aquatic insects, fun games, and hands-on crafts!

The ODC Network is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strives to advance outdoor education and conservation in West Michigan. Their vision is building a better community by connecting people, land and nature. Since 2000, ODC Network has served more than 1.3 million people through hands-on, outdoor learning experiences and conserved thousands of acres of native habitat through restoration and preservation projects.

The weekly Kids Activities at the Holland Farmers Market begin with an interactive Market Story Time hosted by the Herrick District Library starting at 9:30 am, followed by a drop-in activity led by a local non-profit organization or business from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. All activities planned are educational, hands-on, and fun and are geared for ages 3-10. The full schedule of activities can be found below and on the Holland Farmers Market website. Activities are free to attend, but a parent or guardian must remain onsite the entire time to supervise their children. Activities take place in the northwest parking lot outside of the Holland Civic Center Place (150 West 8th Street).
