Lake Michigan Credit Union Announces Winner of $50,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes
Grand Rapids, MI. (July 26, 2023) – Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is pleased to announce Brittany H. of Grand Rapids, Michigan, as the 2023 winner of LMCU’s annual $50,000 Home Makeover sweepstakes.
This year's sweepstakes had a record number of entries, with over 1.2 million submissions received online, at branch locations, and through LMCU ATMs between April 3 and July 7, 2023.
LMCU President and CEO, Sandra Jelinski, personally notified Brittany of her win. “Out of all our winners in the past 11 years, Brittany is the youngest," Jelinski said. “It's truly inspiring to imagine the doors this prize money opens for them in this stage of their life.”
Brittany and her fiancé were presented with a $50,000 check at LMCU's corporate office, surrounded by cheering LMCU staff members congratulating them. “It was really cool to see how happy everyone was for me,” Brittany said. “It just all became real in that moment.”
“My fiancé and I were adamant about entering the sweepstakes every day, but I didn’t think anything would come of it,” Brittany continued. “I’ve never won anything like this before. It’s a huge blessing to have this help as we create our life together. It’s really amazing we get to come back from our wedding and get into the process of purchasing our first home and starting our life together.”
