LMCU's Reading Adventure Encourages Children to Read
LMCU Announces Return of Reading Month Contest, LMCU’s Reading Adventure
Grand Rapids, MI. (March 1, 2024) – Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is proud to announce the return of its annual reading contest, LMCU’s Reading Adventure, to celebrate National Reading Month.
Children who read at least five books between March 1 and March 31 are permitted to enter a contest to win $100. All 70 LMCU branches are hosting contests, with each branch selecting a winner. Participants can also register online for an online drawing. Additionally, each entrant will be congratulated with a bookmark.
Participation is open to any child 12 years old and under. Every five unique books read will count as an entry, and there is no limit on entries each participant can make.
“Creating a lasting interest in books in our children is really the driving force behind the contest,” said Matt Cook, Vice President of Community Relations at LMCU. “Each year, our branch staff eagerly anticipate LMCU’s Reading Adventure. Seeing the pride of young readers showcasing the books they read is quite heartwarming.”
Who can enter: LMCU’s Reading Adventure is open to children 12 and under. Entrants do not have to be LMCU members. Their parents or guardians do not need to be LMCU members, either.
How to enter: Entries can be made online at LMCU.org/Contests or in person at any LMCU branch March 1 through April 1. Winners will be drawn on April 15. Each branch will randomly select one winner, and 10 winners will be selected from all the online entries.
