Celebrate Memorial Day at the Holland Museum on Monday, May 26 with a free tour of the Company D Exhibit at the Holland Armory.
The Holland Museum is proud to celebrate Memorial Day with our Company D Exhibit and our Medal of Honor Display.
We are offering a free tour for all visitors to our Company D Exhibit at the Holland Armory. Established in 1920 by Col. Henry Geerds, Company D members played a significant role in the Pacific Theatre during World War II, fighting on the island on Papua New Guinea, with three of its members earning Congressional Medals of Honor. This exhibit highlights the lives and legacies of these servicemen. Additionally, Museum staff will open our collections viewing area in the Armory. Take a peek at pieces from our collections generally not on display to the public! The Company D Exhibit will be open on Monday, May 26th from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. FREE for all visitors! Additionally, we are offering free admission to veterans and active military to the Holland Museum, regular admission pricing for all other guests. Stop by to check out our exhibits, especially our Medal of Honor display! The Holland Museum will be open from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. FREE for Active Military and Veterans, $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for senior adults, $5.00 for students with a valid college ID and kids 6-18, discounts available for educators, Holland Museum members and children aged 5 and under are free.
