New Holland Brewing has opened an entire eatery devoted to pinwheels. What to know
The newest venture from New Holland Brewing has opened in Grand Haven.
The brewery, recently voted Holland's favorite, announced in early July that New Holland's Pinwheel Kitchen is open for business on Washington Avenue.
Here's what you need to know before heading out:
What is New Holland's Pinwheel Kitchen?
The eatery is a new concept from New Holland, focused on one of the brand's most popular menu items.
The company's famous pizza pinwheels — swirls of dough with pepperoni and mozzarella cheese served with marinara and chipotle ranch dipping sauces — will be seen in a variety of new flavors at the Pinwheel Kitchen.
“Our guests have always loved pinwheels, so we’re giving them the spotlight they deserve,” Brett VanderKamp, founder and CEO of New Holland, wrote in a release. “This concept brings together familiar flavors with bold twists."
Where is New Holland's Pinwheel Kitchen?
The Pinwheel Kitchen is located at 20 Washington Ave. in Grand Haven, next to New Holland’s Grand Haven Distillery Tasting Room.
When is the eatery open?
The venture is currently open on weekends, 12-9 p.m. Fridays-Sundays. The brand's website implies additional hours could be added in the future, listing Monday-Thursday as “coming soon.”
What’s on the menu at New Holland's Pinwheel Kitchen?
According to New Holland’s website, there are eight pinwheel varieties available — three “original” pinwheels, four “loaded” pinwheels and one pinwheel under the “something sweet” category.
Original pinwheels include Classic Pepperoni, Cheesy Garlic and "The Trendsetter" with parmesan garlic butter and a hot honey drizzle.
Loaded pinwheels include the Bacon Dill-icious with shredded dill pickle and bacon; the Primo Pesto with sun-dried tomato and drizzles of pesto and balsamic; the Smokin’ Buffalo with buffalo roasted chicken and blue cheese crumbles; and the Wagonwheel with slices of roast beef, crispy onions and drizzles of jalapeño cheddar and barbecue.
Sweet pinwheels are Cinna-Wheels, made with flaky pastry, a cinnamon sugar swirl, caramel drizzle and candied pecan crunch.
The eatery also serves up snacks like pretzel bites and bacon dip, along with a trio of salads.
Does New Holland's Pinwheel Kitchen serve alcohol?
No, the Pinwheel Kitchen does not serve alcohol. However, customers looking to enjoy their pinwheels with a cocktail are encouraged to take them next door to New Holland’s tasting room.
