About

The Alzheimer's Association - Greater Michigan Chapter, founded in 1981, is a non-profit, voluntary health organization and one of over 70 chapters across the United States. The Greater Michigan Chapter serves 60 counties and is headquartered in Southfield, with additional offices in Flint, Grand Rapids, Marquette, Midland and Traverse City. Our West Michigan Office provides services Ionia, Kent, Mecosta, Montcalm, Osceola and Ottawa counties with support services including more than 20 support groups and 50 education classes and programs a year. We also host three Walk to End Alzheimer's events in Grand Rapids, Holland and Montcalm County. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Education, care and support services are available 24/7 through our toll free Helpline (800.272.3900) and our website (www.alz.org/gmc) as we work toward our vision of a world without Alzheimer's.
