Nestlings Diaper Bank is a West Michigan nonprofit providing diapers to area nonprofits and social service agencies to help them keep our community’s babies covered in clean diapers.   Our all-volunteer run nonprofit serves as a critical conduit to round up diaper supplies and distribute them to area nonprofits and agencies that serve families in need who cannot afford these essential baby items.   What we do is important. Did you know that there are no federal or state programs available to help low-income families get diapers and wipes? None! But diapers and wipes are some of the most requested and un-met items on the needs list for low-income families.  Desperate parents should not be forced to clean, re-use, or steal diapers or compromise on essentials like bills, food and rent to buy diapers. We also don’t want to see families without access to diapers not being able to see doctors, use daycares, grocery shop, or attend nurseries or schools.  We make a difference in the lives of local low income families by providing diapers and wipes at no cost to as many babies as possible in partnership with area shelters, food pantries, local church programs, and other social service organizations. We want YOU to join us!   We are seeking energetic, hard-working, visionary community members to join and serve on our Board of Directors. If you care about babies and kids, have a passion for helping others, and have energy to serve your community in a nonprofit leadership role, we want to hear from you!   Board terms are for three years.
